Alvin Rozario, singer-song writer, music producer, and the founder of Highway 69 – the Indian Heavy Metal Band, will judge the online Voice of Jharkhand competition.
Alvin and his band – Highway 69 – are known for their fast tempos, instrumental and aggressive style of playing. The band has performed twice as the finalists at Hornbill International Rock Contest of Hornbill Festival in Nagaland for the year 2017 and 2018.
The Voice of Jharkhand competition is being organised by Campus Beat – a student-led news organisation in association with The Wake Up India Foundation, The Hasmukh, The Artists of Xavier’s, and Ranchi Meri Jaan. It is for the first time an online event of this scale is being organised
The winner of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1000 along with a certificate.

“It is an honor to have an artist of such stature has agreed to judge the event. This will definitely boost the morale of all the participants,” said Uddeshya Harsh, Brand and Communications Head, Campus Beat
“This idea behind this competition was to provide the singers of Jharkhand a stage where they can showcase their talent. And who else, other than Alvin, would be a better judge,” said Madhu Priya Sahay, Founder, Campus Beat. She continued, “Alvin has represented Ranchi at national and international level. He’s an inspiration for many aspiring talents who look forward to pursue a career in music.”

The Voice of Jharkhand competition will also be supporting education of girl child in Bihar. “Making an impact in the society is our priority. We have collaborated with the Wake Up India Foundation to donate money for supporting girl child education in remote areas of Bihar,” said Astha Priya, Lead, Youth Outreach, Campus Beat
