The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to cancel the remaining exams for class 10. The students of class 12 will be evaluated on their performance based on the last three exams they appeared in school. The remaining papers were due to be conducted between July 1 and 15 were cancelled due to the rapid rise in coronavirus cases and increasing death toll in the country. However, if students are not satisfied by the marks given by the board or are keen to improve their performance, they can appear for the exams at a later date (not yet finalized). Council for the Indian Schools Certificate Examination (CISCE) has also decided to follow the CBSE footsteps as far as exams and assessment is concerned and cancelled the ICSE ISC 2020 examinations.

This change in CBSE exam pattern is also going to impact the admission process of all central universities as well as national entrance exams.
