IIM Calcutta Will Start Virtual Classes For MBA 2020-22 From August 10

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is now ready to begin the virtual classes for MBA students. The two-year MBA program will start from August 10, 2020. As per reports, there are a total of 480 students from across the country who are enrolled in the MBA program of IIM Calcutta. The online classes for second-year MBA students will begin from August 3, 2020.

IIM Calcutta Director Anju Seth has asserted that several steps have been taken to sustain the academic rigor and preserve the uniqueness of teaching and learning experience in the digital mode.

IIM Calcutta conducted the admission for different courses amid COVID-19 abideding by all the precautionary measures, keeping in mind the safety of students as well as staff members. This year the ‘Written Ability Test’ was also not conducted for the final selection in MBA batch 2020-22, knowing the fact that it won’t be feasible to hold WAT for the online admission process.

MBA 2020-22 Orientation program was also conducted in online mode for 10 days. The welcoming session for the new students will be conducted online on August 8, 2020. 

IIM Calcutta admission chairperson, Megha Sharma said that the registration process along with the admission process for 2020-22 batch is underway with more than 30% of students being female. More than 60% of the registered students have prior work-experience and 20% are from non-engineering backgrounds.
