IIT Bhubaneswar begins its new Academic Session digitally
Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, premier institute IIT Bhubaneswar began its new academic year for the post-graduate students.
The biggest hurdle is only the enrollment of the BTech students for the new session as the JEE Mains and Advanced are scheduled in September, thus, the institute is planning to enroll them soon to save their precious academic year.
The institute quoted that, “The present semester has started almost on time, with only a delay of 3 weeks as compared to a normal semester in a non-pandemic situation. The students will be called to campus through an SOP as the situation improves and permits.”
Academic Dean , Dr. Pravas R Sahu believes that the institute is trying its level best in saving the educational needs of the students through conduction of online theory classes and virtual laboratory trainings, which has already been done in the last academic session.
Director RV Raja Kumar commented that students should be updated and aware in arranging electronic devices to minimize connectivity issues and also put extra effort into making one’s learning from online education effective.
“For participatory learning, right problem-solving assignments with feedback to students can be done online.”
