Achutya Samanta, founder of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) declared to provide technical and professional education to the COVID-19 deceased children in Odisha free of cost.

Children deceased with COVID-19 can apply for different technical and professional courses of  KIIT, including ITI and Diploma Engineering. This free of cost facility will be available for two academic years 2020-21 and 2021-22. However, they should make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria of the course. Children of COVID-19 deceased belonging to BPL, SC, ST, and SCBC categories, will be given preference during admission.

This move by KIIT will help the people of Odisha who are left helpless during the pandemic. There are millions who got affected and hence a worldwide panic is the consequence of the epidemic caused. KIIT reached out to distressed people and proved to be a pride of Odisha.
