Family, well family is a word where one should feel happy warm and stress-free much relaxed and comfortable.But in the arena of today’s world the reality is changed. If talk about present time most of the people (children teenagers) are facing depression, stressed and mental problems because of family. Parents expect to much from the children without accepting the reality, ignoring the truth that children become separated in this point. Better, academic performance, excellent good performance in other co-curricular activities all these heavy loads are thrown onto the small shoulders of children to justify their good parenting to the society. Along with these expectations there are many family problems which effects children mentally and emotionally. Family quarrels, alcoholic parents, financial problems and many more in list. In the list of expectations and problems is long and long….. may be never ending.
But let us discuss how to cope up with that.
1.Set up positive attitude: keep this in mind that nobody’s life is perfect.We all have problems and tackling with that problems and punching them hard in face this is what we call winning the battle of life. Set up a positive attitude. Don’t take things personally learn to avoid them.
- Build self-confidence: Under such circumstances most of the children become shy, timid and introvert never let that happen to you. Remember the world won’t change itself for you to be the such a strong self-confident that what others think of you should not affect you because they have mouth out to say and you have brain to think.
- Have a clear discussion with them: Once you have built strong self-confidence, talk to them straightly and clearly it’s very important. No one wants to live a life full of suffering and neither should you. So have a clear discussion with them about the problems. In today’s world no one understands until you tell them and make efforts to make them understand make a decision and stick to that.
- Don’t try to be perfect: Dont waste your life in being a perfect daughter or son by fulfulling their dreams and expectations. This life is yours so don’t waste in living life as per others.
- Find a mentor: If you cannot talk to your family, find a mentor and seek help from them he/she can surely guide you the right path.
Change the attitude of being a victim, stand up, build self- confidence and fight for yourself. Because nothing great comes until you fight for it and change it.
