Vox Pop by Wake Up India Foundation

Wake Up India Foundation, Ranchi Chapter organised VOX POP at Lalpur and nearby locations. The purpose of this event was to collect and showcase the opinions of the general public about important issues which often goes unnoticed.
The members moved around in groups and connected youths with the question “The unemployment rate in India is more than 7% currently but no media house or political party is talking about. What are your views on it?”.
The team received around 100 responses in a matter of less than two hours. The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Shubhashree Kar (President) , Rishi Kumar Singh ( Vice President) and Isha Kumari (General Secretary) of WUIF, Ranchi Chapter.
Around 95% of the respondents agreed to the unemployment rate and suggested the following solutions:
- Skill development is an essential component and government should pay more attention to this.
- Media houses and public groups should create awareness regarding this issue.
- Youths should come out and try their level best and explore different career options.
