Open Letter To My Dad Who Serves in the Indian Army

Dear Dad,
I write to you not only as your daughter, but also as your superfan, because you have been the stronghold in my life.
I write to you because after years of receiving unconditional love and undivided attention from you, I never got a chance to express how grateful I am to have such an amazing father by my side.
I want you to know that I am super proud of everything you do. I understand how you had to take tough decisions in your life just for the sake of our happiness.
I love you for taking care of not only your daughter but standing firm for every girl child in India. I respect you for serving the country in rough terrains without fear or distress.
Thank you, Dad, for teaching me how to be strong and brave. Your official postings demanded you to stay far away from your family. I could feel your emotions on every goodbye.
You taught me how to fight bravely and never loose hope. I’ve learned a lot of things from you. You made me realize that nothing is impossible.
You always had that faith in me no matter how much I scored in exams. You believed in my capabilities and not in my mark-sheets. I distinctively remember the day when you came up to me and said that you believe me, you have faith in me that I’ll do something in life. Dad, I promise that I’ll make you proud one day.
I know how hard you work so that you can fulfill our demands. Things that I wanted in my life or I demanded for were just a click away for me only because of you.
You have not only taken care of us, but also our extended family. Not only me, but my aunts and uncle are also grateful for your support. How can a person be this pure and goldhearted. No one can be like you dad and no one will ever be.
I hope as I get older, you feel proud of what your parenting has made me achieve, proud of what I have accomplished with your love and support.
Thank you for everything, Dad.
Love,
Your Daughter
