There are two aspects of digital marketing namely Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media. The direct traffic on internet has reduced while the referral traffic has increased. Speaking on social media, he said, it is firstly about building a relationship and secondly sharing online.

About 40% traffic in a website comes from SEO. The results of SEO are vital while working for any website. The fundamental of SEO is on page and off page optimization. It is necessary to know how Google reacts to its SEO. The algorithm or yardstick collects the information in SEO. The content’s words should come is URL, headline and so on.

Page title and description help in identifying the content on SEO. Google gives preference to established players like Times of India for news because it understands that these are the authentic platforms. It is due to the positioning on a virtual space or domain. Google prefers original content. He further highlighted Search Engine Marketing.

“The credibility of online media is still lacking,” added the speaker.
